Oregon boys!!

My boys like being clean....probably due to my fussiness with it so far. There, I said it- it's my fault :) I decided (today) that I want them to be ok with getting dirty. The first try was rough, but I think we will get there. Brody was actually the first to get bothered by the dirt and wanted to go in and take a bath. I prolonged it a bit by moving up to the deck and giving some snacks...but that was short lived and off to the tub we went. They did have fun and there is hope for the future of dirty Waind Oregon boys. I think it will help when the landscaper comes back on Monday to remove some dirt and add pea-gravel (there is a huge tree shading the back yard which makes grass hard to keep alive.) We are looking forward to much more dirty play in our new backyard :)

Basket Boys Pics Too ;)

In case the video I posted doesn't work- I had to share these after I looked at them- what a bunch of hams!!! They even crawled into the baskets in birth order ;) I pulled them out once they continuously invading P's space (as you can see in the previous video!)

Baskets Boys

The boys had another great day at school and we got the house *that much more organized. We also now have cable- score! The boys were having too much fun playing with empty baskets once they got home tonight. I interrupted it for a wagon ride down the street to visit my friend, her kids and a whole bunch of neighborhood kids! I love this neighborhood :) I hope this video posts right- I don't usually do it this way, if not- I will fix it tomorrow....maybe ;)

Love You Too!!

What a busy day! I am wiped, my feet and body are sore- but my spirit is high :) I have been an unpacking machine today, after directing the traffic of the 4 young movers who did a great job today (even suckered one of them into putting together an ikea purchase, ha!) The 4 boys all went to Brody's old day-school today and they did great. They drank out of different sippy-cups, ate at toddler tables, slept on mats, and played tons! They only took one nap (gasp!) and are going to do it all again tomorrow. Brody was in heaven with his old buds and teachers and is out like a log now. I ended the night unpacking a box and found a sweet note and gift to remember my Mama by- she must have snuck it in while she was helping us pack- love you too, Mom!! We have endless unpacking and organizing in front of us but made a huge dent in it today- time to get some rest since I haven't even looked at the boxes in the master bedroom and have to find an outfit appropriate to wear to work for a couple hours tomorrow and I don't think yoga pants are going to cut it!

Checking it out!

These pics are not great, but the beat I could do as the boys did laps in their new home! They seriously ran for an hour before crashing and then we couldn't get them "home" fast enough for a nap. The big truck comes tomorrow and we are LUCKY and thankful that Brody's old "school" is going to take all four of them for the next two days so we can some unpacking done. Brody is excited to see some old friends and teachers and I am excited for the trips to get some socialization! Wish us luck :)

Uncle A Reunion

Evan relaxing after a big morning at ikea! Preparations are underway for our anticipated move in day this Thursday :) We are enjoying awesome hospitality right now and are very thankful- but we also know that the Waind PO6 is a lot to handle for anyone- we owe M&T BIG time...

Payton wanting his Daddy, per usual

Riley tasting a block and relaxing with his Mama

Jaxzon came home from school and had a baby pile with Brody! No chance of getting everyone looking in the same direction.

Uncle Alex, aka Uncle Awesome, was reunited with the crew tonight :)

We picked up a new tent from ikea for the playroom today but B insisted we bring it in to Jax's for some breaking in....Uncle A was the first adult to test it out- no surprises there!

Jax and Brod had PLENTY of giggles and goofiness tonight. We all enjoyed some Thai takeout and are definitely ready for some zzzzz's.....

Mississippi Monday

E-P-R= Blue, Green, Orange. We had a family morning/lunch outing to Mississippi Street this morning- some changes, but mostly just how we remembered it ;) Ben was happy to find the addition of a really yummy burger spot next to my favorite really yummyhealthy Cafe! They have a shared courtyard so it really was the perfect stop. The boys liked all the fresh air and Brody was happy to run down the sidewalk and be friendly with strangers. It's so sweet that he is- but so worrisome at the same time! He reached out and grabbed a ladies hand to hold on Sat in Hood River and I about died! She was nice and I didn't freak in front of her but had to remind Brody that strangers are not all nice and we shouldn't be so trusting. The boys still aren't time-changed adjusted, hoping that happens soon, for all our sanity ;)

Welcome Back!!

Our first full day in the Rose City was laid back and perfect :) I'm not sure if our friends who are housing us considered it laid back, a triplet+ invasion can be a lot to handle! We appreciate them and their wonderful hospitality!! We went on a nice walk with the trips new ride since the buggy is still in the moving van- they loved it. When the boys went down for the afternoon nap I took the chance to drive around our soon to be new neighborhood and hit up another favorite market. We also went to see our house this afternoon and let Brody pick out his new room- he's excited as it's the biggest one he has ever had. I think we are going to be quite happy there- can't wait for the truck to arrive later this week!! I'm not sure what the agenda holds for tomorrow but I'm sure it will be exciting. (life with this family is never not!)

Road trip, Day 3

We survived our final leg of the trip to PDX all in one piece :) The day went very well and was much easier than the mountain passes we had to deal with yesterday. We stopped at some great spots and let the boys run wild at a fun park. The best stop was the final one in Hood River where we finally brought the boys into one of our favorite spots for lunch in the gorge! They were happy to not have another picnic lunch and do some people watching (or was that just me??) We arrived to our friends house in town by 3:30pm and the babies made it awake in good spirits until almost 7pm- here's hoping for a more normal wake-up time tomorrow :) I can't handle too much detail tonight- got some catching up to do with M and T!

Road trip, Day 2

We had an early morning (thanks to the time change) in Bozeman today- luckily they had a nice breakfast in the lobby and even had 3 high hairs! I think we were all packed up, more than ready and on the road by 7:40am. The boys were all great travelers today and since it was a shorter day (only about 370 miles I think), we were able to make a few picnic and play stops. We were in Spokane and checked in to another nice 1 bedroom suite by 2:30pm. The boys were silly-funny and quite entertaining as we got settled in. They had the perfect courtyard for us to spend the afternoon in followed by another round of baths/dinner and early bed time (again, thanks to the time change). Ben, Brody and I had a delicious dinner from the hotel and are currently stuffed and ready for bed. I have tons of pics but got frustrated downloading and decided to settle for more iPhone pics- they are still cute! Evan was such a ham jumping in all the pics saying cheeeese! Tomorrow morning is going to be earlier than we would like I'm sure- but at least we will be on our last leg!! PDX here we come :)

Road trip, Day 1

Well, we all made it 650 miles to Bozeman, MT today! It went well...for the most part. Brody got a sore neck from his morning nap, so I found him a cute kids neck wrap at a gas station. He also got carsick twice but he gave me a warning and I was prepared with emesis bags from when I was preggo with them. The babies did good a majority of the time- we made a few stops to let them run in the grass and refuel with drinks and snacks, we only had to put in the gigglebellies 3 times- it didn't suffice the 3rd time but we were at the hotel before the DVD was over. Luckily the front desk lady was pregnant herself and didn't question our "additional" guests and had 2 pack-n-plays for us so we only had to tote in 1 of ours. We have a nice full kitchen, table, living area, and thankfully a separate bedroom off the main area. In the perfect main floor area all by ourselves by a back door- we are hooked up! Hope we get this lucky tomorrow. The van is quite messy from snacks and such, as are their outfits as you can imagine from the pic below of Payton's granola face. We are thankful to have made it this far- wouldn't have handled any longer and any shorter would have made tomorrow equally as bad. We are hoping the shorter trip tomorrow to Spokane will be easier even though we will be going through mountain passes most of the way. Oh- I also had another mommy- fail when we arrived at our nice suite... I thought the babes could use some bum-bum "air out" time after the drive. Minutes later as we were unpacking I noticed poo poos on the carpet :( Evan first, and then Riley! Oh the adventures we make for ourselves. The boys are all now clean and ready for tomorrow.

See you soon...

is what I prefer to say rather than goodbye- but it doesn't make it any easier! Today was a great day, tonight was hard. We celebrated Gma C's bday and had an emotional send off from our close family here that helped us get through so much this last year. It wasn't the best year, in fact- it was the toughest year of our lives, but we made it with the love and support of so many. We love you. We will miss you. And you better visit soon!! I have a lot more pictures on my big camera but here are a few I managed to get on my phone today: 1) a yummy last lunch 2) Riley's last snooze at Gma's 3) Evan's last snooze at Gma C's (side note: must purchase blackout shades like Gma) 4) Brody's last story (for now) from Gma S 5) tearjerking goodbye (for everyone watching) of the 2 best of friends. See you soon, ND.
