G&G Waind Visit

Payton was happy to see Grandpa David again!

G&G finally had a moment to sit down and cuddle with their grand babies- they had a busy first day helping us finish our packing and making several trips to the new house before the big moving truck came the next day. (RPE)

Grandpa putting together B's bed, yes, Brody picked out the pink room all on his own. We may get around to painting it- but maybe not, I kind of like the color contrasts in there!

Nanny Jess got the boys all clean before their first lunch at their new big-boy table

Ahhhh, time to relax again! (EPR)

 We love our backyard!!!

 Evan's turn on the slide

Perfect stairs all over the house for photo-ops :) (P- BRE)

 They are definitely brothers :)

 E-P-R

Ri and Ev, everyone wanted a piece of Gpa all week!

A nice meal after I was done with work at the office and a nice break from work at home for the rest :)

G&G got Brody an early bday present since they won't be out here this summer- a new bike!!

Last night in town- we are so thankful for all their help!! xoxo

A rare family picture :) PEBR

It doesn't seem like it has already been almost a month since we moved in here! Easter Weekend with G&G seems like just yesterday. We are really settled in quite nicely and couldn't be happier. The house is perfect, room to run (especially since we don't have furniture to fill it!), spacious closets, a cooks kitchen, and so much more :)

We had a BUSY weekend, but it was filled with fun!! We had a fun lunch out with friends yesterday and an afternoon at the School/Play Park. Today we slept in (7:30am!), had a nice morning and headed to the Zoo before 10am, had a picnic lunch, home for naps (grocery shopping time for Mom), did some chores with the help of the boys (aka jumping on the bed while Mom puts away laundry), out for an afternoon walk around the block where we met 2 cute families with lots of kids, home for backyard play while B and Mom made homemade pizza, wild nighttime boys tearing up the house, Mom started round two of dinner (another delicious pasta dish with a light olive oil dressing with lime and truffle butter!), boys to bed, and now...one tired set of parents!! Monday, here we come.

Easter Eggs and Jelly Beans

Better late than never :) Too many cute pictures to choose from, so here you go!

Evan, he didn't need to keep looking for eggs after he found his first one filled with a few jelly beans ;)

Riley also enjoyed the sugary treat

 Brody was very excited!!

We had a second egg hunt in the backyard after naps- we were lucky to have a beautiful weekend!

Riley was a pro after the morning practice inside :)

Evan still prefered one egg at a time ;)

 PJ found some too!

Time for the bubble machine....it works much better without 30 little fingers trying to plug the hole

Evan is happy with his find

Riley being cheesy. These next pictures are actually from the next day, It was great to come home from work and still get to play with the boys outside!

Brody got to test out the hot tub, and he loved it! We will have to wait to get all 4 in there until we have some friends or family over to help :) (G&G Waind were here but they forgot their suits!!)

Love this one of Riley

Easter Weekend was our first weekend in our new house, and we loved every minute of it! We were fortunate to have G&G Waind here to help (more pics to come) and in the last few weeks we have gotten almost completely settled- it feels good. We don't have enough furniture to fill up this big old house so the boys are enjoying a lot of open spaces to run, play and dance.

Dinner for Two.....make that 3!!

I got to try out a new recipe (thanks Pinterest!) and the "Drunken Spicy Italian Noodles" was a win for sure. Ben took the boys downstairs to play and get changed into jammies while I started dinner. The timing was perfect, for once, and by the time they made it upstairs I was able to help get the trips in bed while the noodles soaked up the delicious sauce. To our surprise Brody was even interested in having a taste. He usually won't touch anything with leaves (basil) or "spices" but once he had a bite he asked for more! I gladly served him up a bowl and he ate it- onions, leaves and all :)

New House!

This was the 1st time we took the boys over to see our new house!! We are all excited to have more space for our lively crew and grass in the backyard rather than pea rock. It has most everything on my list- all bedrooms for the fam on the same floor, lots of natural light, finished basement, safe backyard, big kitchen that makes you want to cook, closet space, and best of all- a laundry chute!! (that was never on my list before, but it is now!)

Love

I am so happy that all my boys (for the part) are gentle, caring, loving boys! They learn from their big bro and I couldn't be more thankful :)
