plain gray tee

Evan (and Riley) find themselves under the chairs most times...Riley can maneuver his way through pretty good. Evan, on the other hand, gets sidetracked and just plays with the chair

Payton and Riley getting some kneeling and pulling practice on the couch with the cushion pulled up, it has really been helping their strength

 ...still playing in the chair...

Payton (with crazy hair) loses his balance and gets cozy with Riley..

..seconds before I broke up that battle!

..Evan, still playing!! I just love the boys in these plain gray onesies for some reason, so cute!

(Yesterday's pic was Evan, Riley, Payton....and Kara was the only one to respond to me with it correct!! Congrats Kara, this means next time you come over I will be leaving :) You can now handle the boys on your own!!)

Who's Who?

It's just as hard to tell who is who from the back of their head as it is from the front!  We have been working on a lot of kneeling and playing lately and they have really been enjoying it.  Everybody gets in on the action!  Let me see, can you tell who is who??

12 days left!

We have been counting down the days on Brody's Advent Calendar, I can't believe we are already half way there!!

I am pretty prepared this year, only a few small things left on our list (gotta love Amazon!!) We updated the baby registry after being asked by family what the "boys" want ;) I have to say, I think I am the most excited to unwrap some new toys!! I am going to be smart about it this year and rotate new toys into the mix and take out some current ones so they can rotate back in and be fun again.

Hopefully it won't be too much into the new year before we will be able to move into our house and unpack finally!! My Step-Dad and Uncle have been working hard to finish up the electrical and I think it's about inspection ready :) Then the insulation and drywall can begin and we can finally see the house with walls again, with a few cosmetic changes to the design it will be fun to see :) I think I better head to paint store and pick up some colors for Brody's room and the "nursery" even though the trips will be over 1 yr old by then, crazzzzyyy!!!!!

Ummmmm, No

I posted on care.com a "nanny wanted" position once again. I am just trying to see what is out there and if me returning to work is even a possibility. Here is an excerpt from one  of the responses I recieved:

"......I use my moms vehicle until I an afford my own. My boyfriend also helps me babysit. I took a child care class my junior year of high school. I use to smoke but quit after a week of it. I can cook, clean, and run errands if needed. My boyfriend can also do all this. He helps me because I'm currently studying to get my GED........ I do have piercings, 2 in my lip and 1 in my tongue, and I am getting tattoos which I hope won't be a problem....."

Way to make a first impression, right?!?!! Somethings are better left to come out after an initial meeting, at the very least! I am always shocked when I get responses like this...often worse. None of the things this girl has said offend or bother me in of themselves (except for the boyfriend helping, um...no!!) but somethings are just not necessary to say when trying to land an interview! I wasn't going to respond at all but I can't help but feel a little compelled to reach out and offer the learning of a life lesson, one that would not involve the care taking of my boys ;)

A Little Gem

We finally found our Flip Video Cam!! I plugged it into our computer and found 39 videos from Spring/Summer 2010. The last one seems to be when we first found out we were pregnant :) We never thought there would be more than one little bean growing and since we obviously didn't know the sex, here is what Brody had to say about it:

HAHA!! No sister, no brother, just crackers :) This went on for many months, "No, no babies please." Brody was (is) so stinking cute!!! I am guessing once my morning sickness kicked in the camera got lost in the shuffle. I am sad we don't have more videos documenting our journey :( But now that we found the Flip, videos will be much more frequent!!

Can you imagine this much cuteness x3??? I can hardly wait :)

#fail

I did not take one picture today, not even with my phone :(

I am kinda embarrassed to admit, but I have no idea why people use the # symbol in front of words or sayings, like #fail or #winning....I have to say I have used it a few times, trying to be cool and all ;) But if someone could please explain this new-age trend to me it would be much appreciated. #thanks

I keep saying that I am going to do a few blogs ahead of time and just post them daily so I don't get in a bind like I am today. I haven't been that motivated to date so I am not sure if that will ever happen. So, any of you fabulous followers that have blogs of your own, I need your help! Let me know if you want to do a guest post or if I can steal one of your posts to share if I encounter a bind in the future, #kthanksthatwouldbefab ;)

giggles all around

Evan and Payton sharing the musical cube

Kara has toys everyone wants!

Evan was much better today than he has been over the last week....hopefully it was just his cold making him c.r.a.z.y!!!

Silly boys!! They were so cute today :)

I think they just seem "cuter" because they took two great naps and didn't need the last cat nap to make it until dinner, and they didn't even get cranky! I was also able to have coffee with a friend, go to the gym and spend the afternoon with another friend! Oh, and a visit from the LA Times, hopefully I will have the reporter's story to share this weekend. They went to bed like a dream too....successful day!
