We had our 9 week Ultrasound on Friday along with our 1st Perinatology appointment. We were once again shocked lying on the exam table when they told us we are carrying identical triplets!! Now that is some crazy odds, some say anywhere between 1 in 100,000 and 1 in 2oo Million! Why such the widespread? I have no idea, all I know is that I guess we beat the odds. We are asking for lots of prayers during the next 20+ weeks as we among the very rare that are carrying all 3 with only 1 placenta. To get technical they call it Monochorionic Triamniotic identical triplets. Now that's a mouthful! It is going to probably be a roller coaster journey but we feel that we have the strength and support from many loved ones to make it through and welcome 3 new babes to our family. I am secretly (well, not so secretly...who am I kidding!) hoping for girls, but in all honesty we will be blessed with boys or girls!!
