Evan and Riley
I love being able to catch a picture of the boys when they are doing something identical- it happens all the time! They often lay the same way or play the same way, even poop the same at times! They may be identical~ but they definitely have unique personalities that I love watching come out more and more each day.

Mommy time with P
Payton needs some extra love these days. He is going to start going to physical therapy 1xweek now instead of once a month at home. He is also seeing the chiropractor weekly. His neck muscles and hamstrings are tight and his trunk muscles are a little week. Dr.C says it's probably just from his prematurity and his tight confinement in my belly :) Since all the boys have always looked to the right I am hoping that P will outgrow this and it won't be a worry for long.
We had a busy (read: crazy) night at the Norsk Hostfest tonight but it was fun to get out with gma and gpa Waind....more about this adventure later :)

Riley Warren
This boy reeeaallly wants to crawl!!!
This boy was pretty darn happy for quite some time this morning with a baby wipe in hand ;) I think Riley will continue to lead the pack with his "firsts" and be the first one to take off crawling~ time will tell!!

Bowling
Kya and Nick teach Brody how to bowl- can't believe this was his first time, he loved it!
The big boy can carry his own ball :)
Alright!
I can tell by the back of Evan's head in this picture that he is going to have a pretty sweet rat-tail in the future, haaha
Ricky the Raccoon even bowled
Tasha reading to Kya and Riley
I can see us spending lots of time here as the weather gets colder here. The boys hung out in their stroller for quite some time mesmerized by the sound of knocking pins. We fed them and passed them all around while we bowled and they ended the time their with a nice nap back in the stroller- success!!

Silly P
Payton loves his brothers soooo much, he doesn't care what they do to him as long as it's physical contact!
Minot State Parade
Saturday morning uncle Ty came over and we headed out to check out the Farmer's Market. On the way there we remembered that the homecoming parade was about to start so we made a quick change of plans and headed to our friends house to join them at the parade- it was a great decision!
Brody and Kya with uncle T and Tasha waving to the first float of the parade- it was a beautiful morning for a parade!
Happy BOY!
Riley and Evan enjoyed the show after taking down a bottle :)
Payton had a great time hanging with Daddy ;)
Nick helped Brody load his pockets with all his candy loot!
It takes a team!!
I love this sweet picture <3

Scalp Massage
Steph and I gave the boys a baby oil head massage to help cure their cradle cap- it worked pretty good and I think they enjoyed it :)
Flu Shot :(
The nurses hated giving the boys their flu shots just as much as they hated getting them! They only cried for 30 seconds and all was better :)
I realize that I missed a post yesterday- ugh!! I sent the picture from my phone to my facebook account instead of my blogger account, so I think I should be granted a "pass" this time :) We had a BUSY, FUN day yesterday- more pictures to come!

Doors!
We officially have a front door again at the flooded house! We also have a new door in the dining room going to the backyard- the one positive about this whole flood recovery nightmare is the small changes to floor plans that can be built in. I am pretty anxious to take the trips to their new home that we moved back for but we still have lots of work to do! Brody has visited the house a few times since it has been cleaned out and is looking forward to a new room as well! Tomorrow I will have a much better picture to share, it's suppose to be another beautiful day and we are looking forward to some Saturday family fun :)

Happy 8 months, babies!!
We took the boys in for a 8 month well check and Dr. C was very happy with the chubs!!
Evan is 18 lbs and 27.5 in
Payton is 15 lb 10oz and 26.25 in
Riley is 17 lb 10 oz and 26.75 in
All the boys are still on the growth chart for their actual instead of adjusted (preemie) age, this makes mama happy!

goofin around
I don't think these boys could be any cuter!!! This picture was not as easy as it looks to get......
We had a busy day today! Brody was home for the 3rd day in a row since Gma Chari and Gpa David are at a city manager's conference in Wisconsin. We have enjoyed our extra time together but I have not been getting much work done. After a nice morning together I was able to go to my "remote office" at Barnes and Noble for a few hours which was nice. I came home to take Evan on our "date" to his chiropractor appointment- I love one-on-one time with the boys! We then had a vision specialist come over to screen Payton after a recommendation from the infant development team. He did GREAT!! He does have a right eye that turns in on occasion and may be showing some signs of farsightedness so we will have to follow up with an optometrist soon.
Ben got home from work and joined me in rolling around with the boys on the floor and getting these cute pictures (Brody has been treated to a movie in the theatre with Auntie Bev this afternoon~ lucky boy!!!)
Here are just a few of the outtakes! ;)
I n't believe the boys are 8 months tomorrow!! Looking forward to takng them all to see Dr. C :)

Family Lake Weekend
We decided it was time to have a weekend away, with no plans or obligations, and just enjoy our sweet little family of six. As the days and weeks have passed we have found ourselves growing tired and bit irritable with our current status of "flood evacuees". Now we know we aren't the only ones and that things could always be worse but with what he have been through the last year ourselves we were "done" last week. Just done. So we thought we better take advantage of the empty Waind cabin at Lake Metigoshe for a little family retreat :) A good friend told me that we can never fully understand another situation and that is just so true. This flood mess has caused extreme heartache and difficulties for so many people and it is unfortunate at times the rifts that it causes between friends and family. We can only feel empathetic for one another and must remember not to compare as with things like this it's just not a path that would lead anywhere good. So we took a weekend to ourselves to regroup and be thankful for each other. We are also extremely grateful for my aunt and uncle opening their home to us and all of our chaos and for all the help our parents and family provide for us during this time- we love you ALL!!! Now on to some pics :)
Brody was just a little excited to arrive at the cabin on Friday night!! This smile alone made all of the hard work that comes along with us packing up and getting out of town, worth it!
Brody had a lot of kisses to give~ he truly was a happy lake boy!
The boys were all smiles Saturday morning. One of the perks of being at the cabin is that we each have our own room! This allowed us to to give each other a "break" like we use to do when Brody was baby and sleep was scarce (so we thought!) So, Saturday morning Ben let me sleep in a bit while he got all the boys up, diapers changed and bottles warmed....heaven!! We can't do this on a regular basis since we don't have our own bedroom so I made sure to return the treat and let Ben sleep in Sunday morning :)
Riley-pants is a happy baby!
Didn't catch Evan with his big grin, but love this silly face too ;)
Sweet P is too dang cute!!!
Brody continues to be the best big brother and loves taking care of and entertaining his baby brothers.
It was a COLD and WINDY day but we really wanted to take a family walk so everyone got bundled up. I love these cute hats a sweet friend in Portland knitted for all 4 boys, each a little different. Evan sure does look BIG in this pic, haha!
The first half of the walk was very strenuous- not just from the wind but because our stoller tires desperately needed some air! We made it to the Marina and pulled the Quad stroller in to the garage for a tune-up ;)
It was like night and day- Ben couldn't help but run with the stroller after the wheels were plumped up! (We were literally both pushing the stroller at the same time huffing and puffing before!)
Our little fisherman Brody
They didn't catch any fish- but they sure had a good time!
Sunday morning came way too quick :( The boys were great and waited patiently while Ben and I cleaned up the cabin before heading out.
All packed up to head home....we are very fortunate to have had this time together but needed to head home early so we could celebrate a good friend Sunday night. The best part was that we went out BEFORE the boys went to bed! I think this is only the 2nd or 3rd time that at least one of us wasn't home to put the triplets to bed. We SO appreciate my mom coming over and taking it on! Perfect ending to a perfect weekend! xo
