Riley and Evan enjoying the ride and their toys
We set up camp here for a bit to feed the trips and taste some of the traditional Hostfest eats: Rummagrout, a Norwegian porridge/pudding that is made from soured cream and topped with cinnamon/sugar/butter (Ben's favorite and almost became Evan's favorite as gma Chari attempted to give him a taste!! Mama didn't let that happen-haha, grandma's- gotta love em!!), warm rice pudding, knephla and sauerkraut, and a Norwegian hotdog.
Brody made friends with these sweet ladies and asked to be in their picture- it was too funny!
Brody wasn't too sure what he thought of the crazy trolls. I wish I would have got a picture of him with the big red horse, that was the highlight of his night for sure. He had a hard time figuring out why the horse had on tennis shoes though (it was 2 people walking around in a big red horse costume, named Dala).
Walking to the final hall before calling it a night!
We had a great time out on Thursday~ and we made A LOT of people smile!! hahaahaa, we often had crowds around the stroller of 10+ onlookers, it was classic. Random pictures were even snapped of us (kinda weird, but whatever) and Ben was slipped $50 in his pocket and I was chased down and given a caramel apple from a sweet older man for being "the mom". The Norsk Hostfest was just like I remembered (I went last about 8 years ago), right down to the tight-jeaned, blond haired Swed, founder of Laila (smells sooo yummy!!) giving me a hand "rub-down" with his thick accent ;) Geir was so impressed with us he called over Sven to check us out! Like I said, classic. :)
