Potty Training!

Evan and Riley are doing GREAT with the potty training! They have woken up with dry pull-ups all week in the morning and at naps! It started out rough (they only were good for Jess during the day and then refused to use the potty at night for me!) but that is long gone and we are on a good streak :). Little boys in underwear are the cutest!! Peej isn't there yet, but that's ok ;)

Best Little Patient

> PJ got some "mommy time" which of course means a trip to the Drs office! All if the boys actually love going to the Drs because they get some good ol 1:1 time :). We arrived early over the lunch hour so PJ got to visit and give some snuggles to Dr. Mary before his appointment with our other dear friend, Dr. Sande!

The little guy has been waking up with low energy, very pale and blueish lips recently so we got a referral to ENT to check our his tonsils and adenoids. Peej of course was the best little patient and did everything Auntie Sande asked, and of course helped push the buttons to move the chair. Looks like our next step is to have a sleep study before scheduling his surgery to get the big buggers out! Apparently the recovery is long and tough and can end in dehydration from kids not wanting to drink due to the sore throat :(. Grandma Sharon is coming out a couple months, maybe we'll get lucky and have it done while she is here to help give extra snuggles! I'm just happy for a great team of Drs that I trust so much!

Memorial Day 2014

We spent the weekend in Hood River having all sorts of fun! It was the first time the trips slept outside of a crib or pack and play, they did pretty good! I think all the fresh air, zip lining and hikes helped wear them out to catch some good zzzzzz's.

Flat Dreyden!

Brody got to have a little "cousin time" when "flat Dreyden" was sent to him in the mail! Brody took flat Dreyden to school with him and documented their time together to send back to his cousin in ND as part of a kindergarten project- what a great idea! We sent flat Dreyden back after lots of kisses were given ;)

Chickens!

The boys love visiting with chickens and finding real eggs! They would make some good farm boys, don't you think??

Snow!!

We had lots of snow for a few days in Portland this past winter, the boys loved it! Thank goodness for a nice Goodwill nearby, outfitting 4 boys with boots and snow pants for 1 or 2 days per year would be too expensive for this mama otherwise!

The trips turned 3!!!

Looking back on EPR's 3rd birthday- sometimes I really miss these long locks! Bath time sure is easier now without all the hair to rinse ;)

We had a low-key 3rd birthday, no big party, just family and some cake!

Evan's a good little patient

Evan has continued to have a difficult time with his bowels since his surgery at 3 months old. He does great when it's time for X-rays or in the case an upper GI with small bowel follow through exam. Mom's no dummy (and her past as an X-ray tech helps) so we came equipped with chocolate syrup to make the barium oh-so-yummy for him to drink up!

Where have we been???

Wow...it's been over a year since we had to "shut the blog down" but we are back and free from restrictions! We were advised to turn off all social media during our legal affairs (remember Simply Thick???). I obliged and shut the blog down with the good intention of keeping it up to date in order to turn it back on when everything is settled (which it now is, hooray!!), sadly, blogging to "yourself" was not motivating for me and I did not keep up with posts at all! I'm happy to give it another try and see if I can get back in the swing of it. I do need some help though--there are TONS of pictures that are now missing from the blog, how did this happen?? If anyone knows how I can fix this (I didn't delete any pictures from our computer??), please do let me know!

I hope to slowly but surely add some posts-- some old, some new, to bring this blog back to life :)

The neighborhood watch out protecting our streets and searching for man-holes in hopes to find some more turtles!
