Road trip, Day 1

Well, we all made it 650 miles to Bozeman, MT today! It went well...for the most part. Brody got a sore neck from his morning nap, so I found him a cute kids neck wrap at a gas station. He also got carsick twice but he gave me a warning and I was prepared with emesis bags from when I was preggo with them. The babies did good a majority of the time- we made a few stops to let them run in the grass and refuel with drinks and snacks, we only had to put in the gigglebellies 3 times- it didn't suffice the 3rd time but we were at the hotel before the DVD was over. Luckily the front desk lady was pregnant herself and didn't question our "additional" guests and had 2 pack-n-plays for us so we only had to tote in 1 of ours. We have a nice full kitchen, table, living area, and thankfully a separate bedroom off the main area. In the perfect main floor area all by ourselves by a back door- we are hooked up! Hope we get this lucky tomorrow. The van is quite messy from snacks and such, as are their outfits as you can imagine from the pic below of Payton's granola face. We are thankful to have made it this far- wouldn't have handled any longer and any shorter would have made tomorrow equally as bad. We are hoping the shorter trip tomorrow to Spokane will be easier even though we will be going through mountain passes most of the way. Oh- I also had another mommy- fail when we arrived at our nice suite... I thought the babes could use some bum-bum "air out" time after the drive. Minutes later as we were unpacking I noticed poo poos on the carpet :( Evan first, and then Riley! Oh the adventures we make for ourselves. The boys are all now clean and ready for tomorrow.
